Finding our rhythm in vanlife

Things are finally falling into place. Those who have followed our journey since the beginning in December ‘22 (when we started building), know this statement really means something. A little more than a month into vanlife, and I finally felt peaceful, something that rarely happens to me (Eline).

All those little things that made vanlife quite unendurable at the start, are now fixed, solved or dealt with:

– Our solar panels charge enough now to last it through the day (the freezer is still taking too much energy, but we can manage)
– The first few weeks I couldn’t sleep when the van wouldn’t be perfectly level, but now I sleep way better 🙂
– We’ve got WiFi wherever we go 🥳🙌
– Since we met Mill, Andy & others along the way, we get very nice recommendations where we can stay for daysss
– This means we can finally get some proper work done: Jonathan is starting up an online tutoring job & editing our YouTube videos and I’m building my own creative webshop & keeping you guys informed on Insta. 💕
– Decorative details are in place (world map, shelves, plants, mirror, air freshener, etc.) 🥰
– We don’t have to go to campsites every 5 days because we use free service spots (for emptying the toilet and filling & emptying our water) and we need less showers because we’re always swimming in the crystal clear sea 🤌
– Lots more probably 😂😅

The point is: we’ve worked hard to get here, and now it finally feels like we are getting the hang of it. So here’s a picture of us enjoying our van, the sun, the sea and the people (and dogs) around us. ❤️

Lots of love and happiness from us ☺️

Jonathan & Eline
